The Peter Torot Centre was originally established as a conference facility for the Catholic Diocese of Kavieng. Dormitories and private rooms were added at a later date on both sides of the hall. The staff at the centre are very friendly and the place is quiet. Facilities, including rooms, are very basic but they are clean and tidy. Mattresses, pillows and sheets are provided on arrival. Guests supply their own towels and soap. There is a kitchen which can be used by guests, or meals can be provided at a reasonable price. The most economic place to stay in Kavieng town, for the budget traveller.
